Martin Believes:
-
I believe that the true strength of our nation lies in us as a people going back to our roots, which are grounded in biblical principles upon which our nation was founded. We are a nation of faith, a people who believe, and that is why our founders referenced and always went back to the very source of our sustenance, the Almighty Himself, because they understood that we needed the very author of life as the foundation upon which we are rooted.
-
I also believe that the education of our children belongs to the parents, not the government. Since the beginning of time, parents have had the authority to train their children. The Federal government has no place in the education of our children. The same goes to the state governments. The only time the government should ever interfere in parental rights is when a parent is abusing their children, and abuse is something that common sense can tell us what it is, not some overzealous bureaucrat and CPS officials defining it because they want to control the children.
-
I support policies that support small businesses, improve opportunities, and promote access to resources that enable personal and professional growth through free enterprise.
-
I also believe that our nation's sovereignty is only possible when we can control our own borders. History has shown that open borders are a recipe for disaster. America, not the cartels, must determine who comes in and who is denied entry into our nation. We must take back control of our borders through any and all means necessary, including building a wall, using hi-tech security, and empowering the border patrol agents with the authority to arrest and deport. Congress must take back its role in safeguarding our borders and stop punting its job on the executive branch. The executive must not be given a choice as to whether they safeguard the borders.
-
Additionally, I believe a constitutional republic can only thrive when the government gets out of the people's business. We are a nation where the people are the kings, not the folks in DC. The kings (We The People) need to be left to run their lives, and the people's servants in DC only do what the kings ask. Only through individual liberties and personal responsibility will our nation again attain its full potential.
-
I also believe that we must elect men and women to Congress who have the backbone to stand for our values, people who are willing to stand back and defend their ideals without the fear of humiliation. For too long, the Democrats have accused Republicans of being Racist, Intolerant, and Bigoted (RIBs), a weapon they use during every debate, and at the mention of these words, Republicans shrink into their skins and hide because they are too afraid to carry a “label.” It is time for Republicans and Conservatives to reclaim their voices and stop allowing the left to use these tactics to silence them. When a narcissist projects their behavior on you, you do not let them; you call them out for who they are, a narcissist. It is time for Republicans to stand up and proudly defend their beliefs without fear of being labeled RIBs.
-
The left's lack of policy successes and moral authority disqualifies them from using these accusations. I am the voice that Texas needs in Congress, a voice that will not be silenced or intimidated by these tactics of the left.
-
I also believe that the elected servants and bureaucrats should take the time to study and learn our nation's founding documents, most especially the Constitution because that will help clarify to these people exactly where their very limited power lies.
